WASHINGTON <\/strong>\u2013 The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation\u2019s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today expresses support for the group IllumiNative \u2013 which seeks to boost the visibility of Native Americans in the media \u2013 and its calls for the firing of Fox News hosts who made derogatory comments targeting Native Americans.<\/p>\n

Fox News contributor Sean Duffy<\/strong>\u00a0said: \u201cI had a lot of Native American tribes in my old district in Wisconsin. Good people, love them, but if we are going to look at the past, I mean, they burned villages, raped women, seized children, took their \u2014 took the people they defeated, took their lands, scalped people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox Nation host Rachel Campos-Duffy<\/strong>\u00a0added: \u201cThe conditions from Native Americans have everything to do with government dependency, cycles of poverty and alcoholism, and family breakdowns. And these are things that the Democrats don\u2019t want to talk about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Host Jesse Watters\u00a0<\/strong>also said: \u201cThey are just going to try to send more slush funds to the reservations, and make them out to be victims, and then have them keep voting for Democrats.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe once again urge\u00a0Fox News to take appropriate disciplinary action \u2013 up to and including firing \u2013 against all hosts who express racist views or who target minority communities with bigoted rhetoric,\u201d said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. \u201d<\/p>\n

Hooper noted that CAIR recently renewed its call for Fox News\u2019 firing of host Tucker Carlson after he openly promoted the white supremacist \u201cgreat replacement\u201d conspiracy theory on his show.<\/p>\n
