DENVER \u2014 <\/strong>The Denver Art Museum (DAM) announces the exciting return of two beloved fundraising events this spring and early summer, Luncheon by Design<\/em> and Uncorked<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Luncheon by Design<\/em> has been Denver\u2019s not-to-be-missed fundraising event since 2009, drawing designers and artists across the creative community, as well as supporters of the DAM, for an exclusive presentation featuring renowned authors, scholars and designers. Luncheon by Design<\/em> will be held in person April 14 at the Sturm Grand Pavilion in the Sie Welcome Center at the DAM, starting at 11:30 a.m., with the program beginning promptly at 12 p.m.<\/p>\n

Christian Allaire, First Nations (Ojibwe) author and Vogue <\/em>Fashion and Style Writer, will lead an inspiring program on Indigenous designers breaking ground in the fashion world. In conversation with the DAM\u2019s Assistant Curator of Native Arts, Dakota Hoska, Allaire will highlight the ways these artists incorporate Indigenous sensibilities into their creations while addressing priorities like sustainability, reverence and appropriation.<\/p>\n

Funds raised through Luncheon by Design<\/em> in 2022 will benefit the museum\u2019s Native Arts Department\u2019s acquisitions. The in-person event is currently sold-out, but tickets are available for the virtual option, with each virtual ticket purchase matched with a donation by Neiman Marcus.<\/p>\n

Uncorked, <\/em>the DAM\u2019s annual fundraising event celebrating art, wine and community,<\/em> will mark its 20th<\/sup> year on June 10 with festivities in the reimagined Lanny & Sharon Martin Building, starting at 6:30 p.m. The evening will unfold across several of the Martin Building\u2019s fabulous indoor and outdoor spaces, and will include a cocktail reception, multi-course dinner with thoughtful wine pairings and an end-of-night lounge.<\/p>\n

Live entertainment will delight guests throughout the night and the silent auction, a cornerstone of Uncorked<\/em>, will include collectible and cult-favorite wine bottles. Limited-edition artworks, extraordinary experiences and other special items up for bidding in the silent auction will generate vital funds for the museum\u2019s exhibitions and programs.<\/p>\n

As a thank you to the voters who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), the museum will continue to offer discounted general admission to Colorado residents, with $13 tickets for residents and $18 for non-residents. General admission for museum members is free every day. Youth ages 18 and under, regardless of residency, are free everyday thanks to the museum\u2019s Free for Kids program.
