Tim Giago, owner\/publisher of Native Sun News Today, is the original founder of seven Native American Newspapers\/Magazines over the last forty years. Mr. Giago has paved the way for countless journalists, bringing hard-hitting Native American issues to light, helping change policies at a local, state and national level. Tim was one of the founding fathers of the Native American Journalism Association (NAJA) and was inducted into the SD Newspaper Hall of Fame.<\/div>\n
Tim, who is now 87 years old, is in need of our support. He underwent several surgeries and needs to renovate his home to make it handicapped accessible. Over the years, Mr. Giago has been a pillar in our community, not only supporting his staff, but the community as well. Now it is our turn to support Mr. Giago. Any donation to help the Giago family will be greatly appreciated.<\/div>\n
