\"\"<\/a>KYLE \u2013 Oglala Lakota College will hold Board of Trustees and Local Board elections in conjunction with the Oglala Sioux Tribe General Election on November 5, 2024.<\/p>\n

There are 4 Board of Trustees positions open in the following districts: Pejuta Haka, East Wakpamni, LaCreek, and Pahin Sinte.<\/p>\n

There are 18 Local Board positions open in the following districts:\u00a0 Eagle Nest (2 four-year and 1 two-year), East Wakpamni (1 four-year and 1 two-year), Lacreek (1 four-year), Oglala (2 four-year and 1 two year), Pahin Sinte (1 four-year), Pass Creek (2 four-year and 1 two-year), Pejuta Haka (1 four-year), Pine Ridge (2 four-year), and Wounded Knee (2 four-year).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Any registered eligible Oglala Sioux Tribal member who meets the OST (Article 2 of the Tribal Constitution) district residency requirements may run for a position on the Board of Trustees or the Local Board in their district.<\/p>\n

Petitions will be available September 6, 2024.\u00a0 Board of Trustee petitions must be picked up and returned to the President\u2019s Office at Piya Wiconi by the person running for office.\u00a0 Local Board petitions can be picked up from district college centers but they must be turned in to the President\u2019s Office at Piya Wiconi by the person running for office.\u00a0 Each petition must have AT LEAST twenty-five (25) valid signatures of district residents to qualify.<\/p>\n

All Board of Trustees and Local Board members are subject to Alcohol and Substance Abuse tests as per OLC policy (PPM 62-120).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Deadline for submission of ALL petitions is September 20, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Oglala Lakota College Election Committee members:\u00a0 Jonnie Clifford (455-6047), Cindy Iron Cloud (455-6038), and Katelin Janis (455-6022).<\/p>\n
