Built by and for American Indians and Alaska Natives, advocates from StrongHearts provide supportive services, including peer support, safety planning, information, and referrals to culturally appropriate service providers.<\/p>\n<p>StrongHearts invites Indigenous creators to delve into Indigenous storytelling with photos. The organization is building a photo library of Indigenous storytelling photos that best represent Native relatives. Compensation for selected photos will be paid up to $250 per photo based on quality and useability. <\/p>\n<p>Photos will be used to develop StrongHearts media materials including advertising, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, and posters to promote the Helpline and the relatives we serve. Photos selected may also be used on our social media platforms, including Facebook, X\/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.<\/p>\n<p>Categories include: Native-centered, Trauma Informed and Empowerment Based Advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>Subcategories include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Indigenous Life (everyday life), which means authentic traditional and contemporary Native Americans at home<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Indigenous Places (scenic), which means places where Indigenous people live. This can also include animals significant to Indigenous culture such as buffalo, bears, wolves, eagles, whales, etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Indigenous Healing (cultural practices) which represent a cultural event that is a known healing practice. Healing can include burning tobacco or sage, and\/or traditional healing activities such as beading, harvesting natural food sources, etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Domestic, dating, and sexual violence, which means illustrations of types of abuse such as emotional, physical, sexual, financial, digital and cultural abuse; activism and\/or protest against social or racial injustice.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions Criteria<\/p>\n<p>Compensation will be based on content and quality as described below:<\/p>\n<p> \u2013 Photos must honor Native American and Alaska Native people and culture.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Quality should be a resolution of at least 300 dots per inch (DPI) or 300 pixels per inch (PPI). Cellphone photos will be considered at a lower rate of pay due to lower resolution quality.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Required documentation including photo information and consent.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Payees must provide a social security number or tax identification number issued in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Format: Photos must be submitted with the photographer\u2019s name, approximate date of photo, and location.
