Reel Jobs Film School hosts 10th Annual Summer Film Camp in Kyle, SD<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

KYLE \u2014 Starting July 21st and ending July 30th, 2025, Reel Jobs Film School will host its 10th Summer Film Camp at its Kyle, SD Campus. Over the next two weeks, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (weekends off), we will begin each day with breakfast and provide three meals daily. For participants coming from other Tribal Communities, housing will also be provided.<\/p>\n

This year, we will focus on training in all the basic film equipment, including understanding and setting up cinema-format cameras, using fixed lenses, and working with hot and cold lighting, sound recording, and basic editing. Once the new filmmakers are ready, they will help finish shooting special effects scenes for With You In Spirit, a feature film currently in production and largely shot last summer.<\/p>\n

Participants will be involved as Production Assistants, and their names will be recognized in the film credits. Live your dream\u2014give it a try! Native entertainment is on the cusp of success and continues to grow daily. Experience is essential to getting hired. If you\u2019ve dreamed of filmmaking, don\u2019t hold back. Stop saying, \u201cI shoulda, I woulda, if I had only\u2026\u201d and find out if this is the right path for you!<\/p>\n

Mark St. Pierre serves as the director at Reel Jobs Film School and is deeply involved in training aspiring Native filmmakers. His role includes mentoring young talent, helping develop skills in filmmaking, and encouraging Native communities to tell their own stories through media.<\/p>\n

Tilda St. Pierre is also committed to Native filmmaking and storytelling, often collaborating on projects and initiatives aimed at cultural preservation and industry growth. Together, they are passionate advocates for Native media, striving to build a sustainable Native film industry that fosters employment, cultural pride, and storytelling opportunities.<\/p>\n
