LOWER BRULE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) \u2013 Families are mourning after a shooting in Lower Brule left three people dead, one of whom was a suspect.<\/p>\n

According to Lower Brule Sioux Tribe Chairman Boyd Gourneau, one suspect has been apprehended, one is still at large, and one has succumbed to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened near a boat ramp after a powwow.<\/p>\n

One of the victims was Tayshawn Battese, a former basketball and football player.<\/p>\n

The other victim in the shooting was Teron Sazue.<\/p>\n

Counseling services are available for those who need them at the community center and at the school.<\/p>\n
