Together Overcoming Diabetes, a type 2 diabetes study is now recruiting American Indian\/Alaska Native families in the Mn\u00ed Luz\u00e1han (Rapid City) area.<\/p>\n

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Family groups, consisting of one adult with a confirmed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes and one youth aged 10-25 who live in Rapid City.<\/p>\n

WHAT IS THE STUDY ABOUT?<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a family-centered, Lakota specific curriculum called Together Overcoming Diabetes (TOD). Our goal is to help adults living with type 2 diabetes manage their disease, prevent diabetes among youth, and promote overall wellbeing. In short, this study will answer the question, \u201cDoes the TOD program promote better health for American Indian\/Alaska Native families?\u201d<\/p>\n
