2023 NAMI Family to Family Classes

NAMI Southwest Ohio offers free education for the families of individuals who are suffering with a mental illness. NAMI Family-to-Family is a class for families, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. Designated as an evidence-based program by SAMHSA, it facilitates a better understanding of mental health conditions, increases coping skills and empowers participants to become advocates for their family members.

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 9-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people with mental health conditions. It is a designated evidenced-based program. This means that research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to a person with a mental health condition.

NAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained families who have lived experience with the topics covered in the educational series. The educational series includes presentations, discussions and interactive exercises. More information is available on the Family-to-Family program website.

A flyer is also available to download to disperse to those who have interest.

Also note that a calendar of all local NAMI events is available online. The calendar includes the Family-to-Family education series, as well as other education and support events offered by NAMI of Southwest Ohio.
