\u201cA fierce fight is going on inside me.\u201d The chief said to the boy. \u201cIt is between two wolves. \u201cOne wolf is evil. He is guilt, anger, envy, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt and ego.\u201d \u201cThe second wolf is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.\u201d \u201cIt is a terrible fight and the same fight is going on inside you and inside every other person, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

The grandson thought about it for a minute and asked his grandfather, \u201cWhich wolf will win the fight?\u201d<\/p>\n

The old chief replied simply, \u201cThe one I feed.\u201d<\/p>\n
