PINE RIDGE RESERVATION — Oglala Sioux President Julian Bear Runner is back on the job after he was suspended with pay for 30-days and two weeks in quarantine last month.
Bear Runner was suspended following his executive order for an immediate 72-hour lockdown of Pine Ridge. Council members argued there was little-to-no collaboration or communication between elected leaders regarding the lockdown.
The suspension was meant to give Bear Runner time to rethink and restructure his outlook on the direction of the tribe.
