Tshirts to be given out at domestic violence awareness walk
RAPID CITY – On Saturday, October 8th there will be an awareness walk on domestic violence starting at 9 am, beginning at the Monument Civic Center bandshell.
Native Women’s Society of the Great Plain’s annual awareness walk will feature speakers Larry Swallow, Cora Whiting and Kevin Killer with awesome designed tshirts given out to participants.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness month, which is recognized nationally as month to promote the effects of domestic violence. October has been a time to acknowledge domestic violence survivors and be a voice for its victims, including children who see the violence in their homes.
