NDN Collective grant opportunities announced
“We look to the creative genius of artists to not only help us see the world from a different perspective, but to also help us imagine the way forward in an ever-changing landscape”(Ernie: place this quote in a quote box, or maybe a line above and below in the body of the story) |
The time for radical imagination and transformation is now. While we continue to grapple with a climate crisis, demands for racial justice, and geo-political uncertainties across the globe, there is no better time for Indigenous voices and leadership to bring forward the blueprints for peace, justice and equity. We know that we can bring beauty, creativity and innovation to a new system, co-creating a new way and a new world that is truly just for all people and mother earth. |
We are proud to announce the next open application period for the Radical Imagination grant offered to Artists, Creatives, and Culture Bearers who are Indigenous to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Islands of Hawai’i, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. |
Radical Imagination Grants are intended to support Indigenous Creatives to imagine, design and create projects that propose solutions to our most intractable societal problems. Artists that have and can radically imagine a new future, a better normal, and a just world for all people and the planet are called upon to bring their words, their stories, their visual art, their dance, their songs and action to NDN Collective’s Radical Imagination. |
Two-year grants of up to $50,000 per year ($100k total over two years) are available to 10 Indigenous artists, culture bearers, artist collectives and/or small Indigenous art nonprofits working in all traditions, mediums, and genres working in the defense, development, or decolonization of Indigenous Peoples and mother earth. |
As part of NDN Collective’s mission to Defend, Develop and Decolonize, Radical Imagination Artists, Creatives and Culture Bearers will:
