RAPID CITY, SD —Join us for an evening of laughter, healing, and heart work as we gather in community to celebrate compassion and raise support for a space that’s changing lives—one kind act at a time.

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, the Minneluzahan Senior Center will host the inaugural Champions of Compassion fundraiser— an evening of connection and gratitude featuring a meal supported by Sacred Storm Buffalo, known for its locally harvested, ethically processed, and culturally rooted buffalo cuisine.

This special event will also include the presentation of the first Champions of Compassion Awards, honoring those whose quiet leadership and consistent acts of service have strengthened the fabric of our community:

• Captain Ryan Marks, Captain of the Mobile Integrated Health Program with the Rapid City Fire Department, for his dedication to compassionate, on-the-ground service for those most in need.

• Deb Daly, extraordinary Friday Meal coordinator and lifelong educator, who has selflessly invested her own time and resources to nourish both minds and hearts.

• Tom and Carla Cheyenne, beloved community volunteers who exemplify a life of service, generosity, and purpose through their ongoing commitment to helping others.

Together, we’ll share good food, good friends, and good medicine— celebrating those who remind us what community truly means.
