Rodeo returns to Wyoming
CASPER, WY —The Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo is returning to Casper July 9 – 17, 2021 and while you can attend the event in person, the PRCA rodeo will also be broadcast live on the Cowboy Channel (and the Cowboy Channel app) from July 13 – 17.
“This year, it’s going to be easier than ever to catch rodeo action from the heart of Wyoming,” said Tom Jones, the General Manager for the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo. “If you can’t be here with us in person, watching rodeo action live from Casper will be the next best thing and we’re thrilled to have the rodeo featured.”
For travelers coming to Casper for the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo, they can catch nine full days of Wyoming fun, with highlights that include a carnival, The Voice of Casper and a live shark experience. Additional highlights include a chalk festival in downtown Casper, a free pancake breakfast and the rodeo parade. A full schedule is available here.
“Rodeo is the official sport of Wyoming and to have the PRCA rodeo broadcast live from Casper is fantastic,” said Brook Kaufman, CEO of Visit Casper. “And while we’d love to have visitors come to Casper for the fair and rodeo, we’re delighted viewers can also catch it from home.”
Rodeo tickets are on sale now, while more information can be found at CentralWyomingFair.com.
Outside of what’s happening at the fair and rodeo, travelers can play and adventure in Casper, with highlights that include hiking and mountain biking on Casper Mountain, fishing and floating the North Platte River, kayaking and boating on Alcova Reservoir and up Fremont Canyon, visiting the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, setting out on the Oregon Trail with Historic Trails West and exploring downtown and its shops, watering holes and restaurants.
