The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary announces summer season
The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary continues Founder’s dream and announces its 31st summer season of guided tours to see the wild horse herds. Founded in 1988 by the late Dayton O. Hyde, the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary is one of America’s greatest private wilderness areas. Located near Hot Springs in southwestern South Dakota, it is owned and operated by the Institute of Range and the American Mustang. The sanctuary is dedicated to giving America’s unwanted wild horses a life of freedom.
The Visitor Center and Gift Shop are now open daily with two (2) hour public tours leaving at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm and three (3) hour private tours at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Tours by reservations only. All tours and accommodation packages can be made online at wildmustangs.com. The Sanctuary is located 12 miles south of Hot Springs on SD Highway 71.
