This functionality is currently being tested on the Cincinnati Branch and will be rolled-out to the other branches with quality assurance approval.
We are beta testing the AI within our Social Service Resource Library. You may interact with her there. She spends time in different areas of the library, so you may have to look around for her. Please keep your conversations resource specific, as this best helps her learn the job.
So far the implementation is restricted solely for use on the Cincinnati Branch of United Resource Connection.
Here is a “internet safety checklist” provided the Office of the Ohio Secretary of State, to help individuals address potential privacy leaks from their internet browser. It is written for individuals that have a low intelligence quotient when addressing technology. https://www.ohiosos.gov/globalassets/about/office-initatives/safe-at-home/sah_internetsafety_checklist.pdf

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is another way to secure privacy online. A VPN not only protects your anonymity (who you are) but also your location (where you are). Purchasing such technologies can defeat the purpose if you fail to do so anonymously. The article below provides instructions for such situations. https://cybernews.com/how-to-use-vpn/how-to-pay-for-a-vpn-anonymously/
It is important to note that commercially available VPN services probably log your activity (the websites you visit and the IP address you connect with them from) despite their claims that they do not. So you will still need to use a TOR browser when connecting to your commercial VPN service to mask the IP address you are connecting from.
Another alternative is create your own VPN, or have a friend you trust create one. It is a very technical process, but there are instructions online. https://www.top10vpn.com/vpn-setup/home-vpn-server/ Remember to use anonymous methods when purchasing the parts.

A new “universal” version of the Moderation Rules is now available. A longer, in-house, version is planned for use in training quality assurance staff, as the present shorter version is primarily aimed for 3rd parties who wish to post content on the sites.
An updated (and much shorter) version of this rule book is now available for the Cincinnati Chapter of United Resource Connection. After we get some feedback on it, we’ll proceed with making a shortened version like this for all the Chapters. A longer, in-house, version is planned for use in training quality assurance staff, as the present shorter version is primarily aimed for 3rd parties who wish to post content on the sites.
February 11, 2021 at 5:45 pm in reply to: Eco-Friendly Data Servers Host All Communities of United Resource Connection #10861This post is very old– there are fortunately many more options for hosting these days that provide servers powered by sustainable means than when we first partnered with Natural Daddy. Natural Daddy’s Green Web Hosting service was unable to stay profitable with the increase in other sustainable hosting options available locally, and so we had to find another provider. Our technology contract with CYBERCASEMANAGER ENTERPRISES currently allows all our hosting needs to be brokered through them so that we can stay single focused (undistracted) on our social service goals. If you have any questions about the sustainability of the hosting and other technology services we use, you can post those questions here.
see our moderators’ rule book for more information about our quality assurance procedures and polices.

June 27, 2020 at 3:28 pm in reply to: Corporate Bylaws of United Resource Connection Incorporated #10150Our amended bylaws were reviewed by the IRS in 2016 and we were granted 501c3 status as a nonprofit organization. The bylaws have not been amended since that time and are attached as a .pdf with the signatures of the original board of directors.
We ended up going with the resources available at CYBERCASEMANAGER ENTERPRISES for our open content moderation services. You can visit their website here: https://cybercm.tech
We have a new page that highlights our DMCA, HIPAA & Civility Policy. The page basically summarizes what our TERMS OF SERVICE say about these. We hope it is easy to read and understand. We have it posted verbatim on each site to help spread the understanding. Here is the Cincinnati landing page: https://cincinnati.unitedresourceconnection.org/dmca-hipaa-and-civility/.
